Prior to hosting the show , Sharma was the winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007[2] and also hosted Comedy Nights with Kapil which aired from June 2013 to January 2016. He made hisBollywood debut with Abbas Mustan's romantic-comedy movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which was released on 25 September 2015.
